How does CraneMe work?
Crowdfunding
Philanthropists (individual donors) donate funds to aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries listed on CraneMe.
CraneMe business program
Funded aspiring entrepreneurs enter the CraneMe business program to learn the necessary skills to maintain a business.
Business formation
After graduating from the CraneMe business program, the donated funds are provided to the entrepreneurs as interest-free loans to create businesses.
Repayment
The entrepreneurs repay the interest-free loans to the CraneMe Community Center in order to fund future aspiring entrepreneurs.
Where is CraneMe now?
Beginning in January 2016, CraneMe will select aspiring entrepreneurs residing in Dakar, Senegal (West Africa) to participate in the inaugural CraneMe business program.
